limping chicken

Hi all,

I noticed earlier one of my chickens has a limp but can't see anything wrong with her legs/feet.

She did have a leg tag on for a few days but it didn't appear to rub or anything.

Any bright ideas what could be causing a limp and what I can do please?

Thanks!

We had a duck like that which we took to the vet and it was Bumblefoot. I think chickens can get it too?

agree sounds like bumblefoot. how old is your chicken. might be an injury that cant be seen but is causing a problem. some of our flock have a genetic issue with a claw going sideways/

One of my hens twisted her knee joint which caused her to limp. I isolated her in a cage to restrict her movement while the joint was healing. It also stopped the other hens from attacking her. They like to peck a hen when she's down.
