Mites in second hand coop! Help!

Hi, am very new to all this so hoping for some words of wisdom...

I bought a coop and run off eBay, collected it today. On getting it home and into the garden I started to clean it out ready to give it a once over with poultry house spray. It was at this point I realised it (and I by then) was absolutely crawling with mites, really - it was alive with them!
I disinfected, jet washed then sprayed it with mite treatment, did much the same to myself afterwards. My question is will it be ok to put my two girls in it when they arrive tomorrow?

Oh, and can the mites live on me? I feel sick thinking about it....

Thanks x

The course I went on said it was easier to burn a coop that was infected with redmite and start again then get rid of them
