DH has just seen our hen swallow an elastic band

DH couldn't get to her in time. Anything I should do?

Don't birds have stones in their gullets to grind up stuff? It might get macerated and pass through OK. If not would she sick up? Maybe call your local vet and get their advice.

I had a hen who did this. A little red elestic band which she must have thought was a worm. Although she was fine for a bit she died suddenly a few days later and I can only think it was the elastic band.
