Is verm-x a 'proper' chook wormer?

Or should I use flubenvet? Chooks don't have worms afaik just for prevention. My girls are ex-bat so thought the herbal stuff would be better for them but is it not going to do the job properly?

I've always used flubenvet, even just for prevention.....

No it is not. Sorry. I use flubenvet and was working every 4 months. Even so, one of my three week chicks dropped dead overnight from a worm infection brought in by a wild bird. Please get flubenvet. Mine are on a more regular worming programme. Worms are a killer.

Enjoy your lovely girls.

OK have ordered some thanks. Do I need to wait anytime after the vermx or shall I just start straight away?

No need to wait or to withdraw eggs. Put a little veg oil in to help the powder stick to the feed.
