What on earth is wrong with Mollie?

She's a Pekin bantam. Fine yesterday, absolutely fine. Came out to feed this morning.
Just been out to find her on her side in the coop, dying I think.
No visible signs of injury.

She's died.

It was soooo quick, I have to tell DS when he gets home from school. She was his favourite.

Horrible having to tell the children. mine find it a bit easier if they see them and can say goodbye. at first i thought this a bit gruesome but it is all part of life and it helped mine to realise what death was. i always think it is better when they go quickly.

sorry to hear about Mollie, it's such a shock when they go like that but from what I gather from talking to people it is not that uncommon for a seemingly healthy bird to just keel over and die Sad. Hope your ds is ok.
