DS found the first egg today laid by our bantams and is going to bed very excited Grin .

Hows best to cook it. Fried, scrambled, poached or boiled? Any particular ceremony we need to do to mark the occasion Wink .

I"m envious! Where was it, and what time of day - evening obviously?

Aw bless. My bantams are currently in eggs under broodies, my first egg from them will be next year.

Weigh it, then put it into an eggcup and take a photo, then cook by scrambling. Don't boil, it will be too fresh and the egg white will go all crumbly.

Congratulations btw Grin

Seem to be having one a day :) so only one must be laying so far.

All in the nest box so thats good.

DS has decided we need to wait till got 4 so we can have one each. DH just thinks we need to use up the ones from FIL first as they are older....
