one of my chicks died during the night

Have six chicks who hatched three weeks ago. All were perfectly fine last night but when I went out this morning one had died . I dont know what happened and am worried about the rest of them now.

How worrying... I'm afraid I can't help with your mystery but very sorry to hear little chick didn't make it.

Sometimes, it happens. Maybe a defect. Are the others pooing OK, eating and drinking? Just keep a close eye but try not to worry.

Thanks everyone, the others seem ok but are a bit giddy when I put their food and water in. Will just have to hope for the best. It seems strange without that one there.

Is there any blood in their poo?

No blood, their poo seems normal and they are eating and drinking ok.

Its very sad but you just have to shrug and say its one of those things. As long as the others are doing well then you are clearly doing the right thing.
