Organic layers pellets or not & where do you get them?

i always get organic ones from the farm feed suppliers but I am beginning to wonder if my chooks really need organic? I deed them veg scraps which are not organic so what's the point?

I can never understand the point - unless you're really seriously into all things organic.

I'm a big fan of the Allen and Page Smallholder Range.

Ok, then I don't feel so guilty. It is SO expensive to get the organic stuff and I suddenly realised I wasn't sure why I was buying it. They can have the cheapo stuff now, so long as it is veggie and GM-free which my current one is. They seem to like it just the same but I am sure they are fatter since I swapped.
