cider vinegar

Does anyone give their chooks cider vinegar in their water?? If so, where do you buy it as i have read the ones from supermarkets is not the right sort Confused

Some garden centres like Countrywide sell it - sometimes in the horse section. It's great for their health and also deters worms - as it makes their guts unpleasant for creatures....

My girls never get colds...I also use garlic powder in their food (horse supplies again)

Yes we use it in our chickens water, mainly because it helps to prevent calcium deposits which can lead to egg bound hens.
