Angry even more Angry as this is the second time iv typed this because my computer went funny.
Anyway slightly shorter (and less ranty) than the last.
My neighbour has two very noisy dogs she lets them out early and late and lets them bark and bark and bark so much so for the last 3 years dc's havnt been able to have a ventilated bedroom and have had to do with fans (both of them were newborns when she got the dogs) and dh and i are regularly woken by them. As soon as anyone steps out into the garden they start. iv never said any thing to her and to be honest i think we've all just gotten used to it though friends have commented on it when they have come round (so i know it hasnt gone away).
anyway i was alll geared up to get my chucks when this morning it dawned on dh and i that these little yappy things might be an issue. I think that as i was planning the near to the ajoing fence (though i believe were ever i put them it would be an issue) the dogs will hear them and start to go mad.
Up untill now iv been nice about it and just ignored them but now i may not be able to have my little dream im hopping mad.
Anyone with any advice would be so much help many many thanks

My neighbours have a happy but noisy dog, it doesn't worry my little flock of seven.

Bloody dog got into our garden today and killed one - big lab, jumped over the fence, we had only let them out to move their enclosure. SadSadSad

So - make sure your garden is absolutely dog-proof.

Chickens get used to their environments - whatever those might be. But you should do something about the noise for yourself - it doesn't sound very restlful. If the dogs are barking so much, they are bored.

i dont think the chickens will be bothered. our arent.
doesnt sound fair on you or the dogs though

ours

i think they just havnt been trained at all iyswim? also i guess she lets them out they do what they do and she doesnt seem to think there insesive barking is them actually wnating to get back in. Dh and i have decided to talk to her as its not fair on us to go through another summer with windows closed and fans blasting.
whats funny is we also have two dogs the oter side and they are no problem at all.

We have a yappy dog (but our chickens have never been bothered by her at all. (in fact the dog is more scared of the chickens, esp. when they flock around her in the garden!)

Probs best to chat to your neighbours though and let them know your concerns as its not really fair that their dogs are impacting on your quality of life :(
