RIP Henrietta

Our lovely ex battery hen Henny died in the night.
We had only had her since March. She hadnt been well for a few weeks.
I went to let them out this morning and she was dead in her coop.It looks like she had died in her sleep as she was snuggle down and had her eyes closed.
I'm so so sad.

Console yourself that you gave her a good life, and that she died at peace and in comfort.

Oh, I am really sorry to hear about your poor girl. We have some ex-batts so I know how lovely and endearing they are. You have all my sympathy, it's amazing how quickly they become one of the family.

She did have a good life with you, you know, and at least she had those few months of freedom and happiness with you.
