We are moving in the next 4 weeks, but we cant take our chooks with us Sad I have a goldline and a white sussex, goldline lays almost everyday since august, (at 22 weeks)white star only now and again, had them from 10 weeks so they are tame, particulary the goldline. Wish we could take them with us, but its a no go Sad

I have a friend who lives in Albrighton, she has chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, dogs and cats. I'm sure she would have them. She works as a vet receptionist. Let me know.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 11/11/2010 15:59

Oh that sounds lovely Smile if you could have a word i would really appreciate it. My DH would be able to take them over whenever she would be ready. They are used to children and dogs, cats and rabbits so sure they would get on just fine, they are only young, they were 10 weeks in April when we bought them and are sweet little things, the goldline dances when you go to her for a fuss Smile

My email address is [email protected]

thankyou

BabyDubsEverywhere · 14/11/2010 19:36

Oh bless babydubs. We're not a million miles from you, and I do have an empty ark at present :o. Will keep watching this thread.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 16/11/2010 12:24

Well, things have sped up a little this end, we are now moving sooner than we thought (eek! but excited) and my DH has the rest of the week off work, but as its DDs birthday Friday hes only free thursday or tomorrow to deliver them. Would you be able to take them that soon salty? where are you??

Thank you Smile

Gah! What a nightmare, have lost Internet so had go set up the phone, not too sure what I'm doing tbh! I think I'm not as clever as you salty as I can't find the pm part, also my dh is a dunce as he can't either hehe, could you send a message to my email address and we will call you to arrange drop off etc? Will do - we've also had a nightmare as we have been struck down with norovirus - urgghhh.

amummyinwaiting · 20/11/2010 10:34

Hi Babydubs.
Are you sorted?Has Salty managed to get them?
We may well be available if not as one of our chucks died in the night so would have room for them.
We're only in Tamworth.
Let me know

saltyseadog · 20/11/2010 16:10

Mummyinwaiting - I'd email dubs. She decided that we were too far away, but I reckon TAmworth would be close enough :). Sounds like a potentially happy ending on the cards :).

BabyDubsEverywhere · 20/11/2010 16:44

Hi there, so sorry i havent been on, this poverty dongle has dreadful reception! As salty says she was just a smidge to far, my DH is a recent driver and nervous of going so far, i would like to thank you for your interest though salty as it was much appreciated.

No mummytobe we havent found anywhere yet so would very much appreciate your kind offer to take my girls. We are in Tamworth tommorrow actually, my DHs mothere lives there so we are duty bound to Sundays Grin could you perhaps email me your address is sunday would be anygood to you?

Just to let everyone know (if you're interested :) )
that we had the girls delivered tonight. They are lovely and have settled in to sleep with our two.
No doubt there will be a bit of squabbling to see who is in charge but I'm sure they will all get on fine.

onepieceoflollipop · 21/11/2010 20:36

I actually clicked on here wondering if anyone wanted to swap their two dds with mine (lol I am joking) However I then got a bit engrossed as I am very nosey. :)

Lovely to hear the update. Best wishes to the "new girls" and hope they settle in very quickly to their new home.

saltyseadog · 21/11/2010 20:52

Ahhhh - so pleased mummyinwaiting.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 21/11/2010 22:12

I have a very empty garden :(

But i am so grateful for mummyinwaiting for taking my little ladies, hope they bring you as much joy as they bought me :)

Ill still be hanging out on this board though, hopefully going to get Quail when we move as they wont need to be out of the run, tiny garden could cope with that. A garden with no pets seems so pointless Grin

BabyDubs Shock Sad Blush
I'm so sorry. I completely forgot about this thread. I don't normally post on this board and I just disappeared! No excuse. I'm glad there were others to take your birds and I hope the move goes ok. Sorry again.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 25/11/2010 19:38

No worries, life gets in the way of my mumsnetting all the time, damn annoying it is too Grin all worked out well Smile
