White flaky stuff everywhere - is it because she is moulting?

My Light Sussex has been moulting for the last few weeks. As well as the feathers she is shedding some kind of white flakey stuff. Is this normal or has she got some kind of ghastly chicken skin disease?

normal- the new feathers come out with that white stuff covering them, then it falls off
