Chickens eating like crazy!!!!

Have had chicken for years, currently have three layers.

They are eating more pellets than ever right now, are they fattening up for winter or something?? I don't remember going through pellets this fast before - any ideas?!

Ours too. I can't believe how fast the pellets are going down. And they are definitely getting fatter. So it's not just yours and I'm really hoping it's just normal pre-winter behaviour.

I'd just check for any sign of worms, just in case.
