Hi everyone! What do you do for cleaning your coop/run etc? Here is my routine which so far seems to work fine but I am not sure if it's about right/too little/too much. We are getting through a lot of bedding
We have a plastic house, a long enclosed run and a big free-range enclosure for them which they're let out into when we are at home. They are bedded on wood shavings.
What I do is "poo pick" every day and scoop the evidence out of the henhouse with a spoon. I also have a quick pick of the run and enclosure.
Once a week I take all the bedding out and put it in the compost, sweep out the corners and spray with anti-mite disinfectant. About once a month we pressure wash the house, run and yard.
Does this sound about right to you all?
Thanks, Helen
