What's the most helpful book you've read on keeping chickens? I'm a pre-beginner and want to read more about it before taking the plunge. I'm looking for something comprehensive and clear. Thanks in advance Smile

My favourite was Choosing and Keeping Chickens by Chris Graham (but then I also bought several more - it becomes a habit)

It's also worht signing up to the Poultry Allotement site:
www.poultry.allotment.org.uk/

which has a forum, too, as well as loads of advice and links.
you can buy books through them too.

I started with the Katie Thear book - I think it was called Starting with Chickens.

It covered everything you needed to know, and was fairly cheap too!
If you have dc's, it's easy for them to understand too.
