Chickens in London - insane?

DH is desperate to get some chickens. But... we live in London, back on to a railway line and our garden is frequented by foxes so bold that they come up on to the patio and stare into the kitchen at us while we are eating. I'm keen on the chicken idea but I worry that even if we managed the holy grail of a fox-proof henhouse, the poor chickens would be permanently traumatised by foxes leering at them. Anyone have any advice?

Bumping for you as I've no advice on the fox-front.

Actually, another place to look for advice is the Omlet forum! club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

Buy an eglu or cube from Omlet. They are trade-marked as fox-proof IIRC.

We had a visit from the foxy gentleman the other morning - he was scrabbling at our Cube run but there was no way he was getting in :).

Thanks, guys. Guess we will have to save up then, as those babies ain't cheap. (Cheep?)

Salty - glad your Cube saw the foxy chap off. Smile

Millie - thanks for the bump, too.
