Every year I host a raffle for a chosen charity. But this year is special so I want to make it the best one yet.
we are raising funds for British Heart Foundation. This cause is personal to me. My dad has suffered a heart attack and now lives with heart disease. Growing up with a single parent meant this was so much harder to witness. My dad is the strongest man I know and I never imagined I’d witness him suffer through something like this. Seeing the impact this has had on him and our family has made me want to give something back to the charity that could help change his life — and the lives of millions of others.
I’ve been emailing the people I normally would but I want to get some new and exciting prizes this year. Also trying to find a top prize. I know its cheeky but does anyone have any ideas of who I could ask or would be willing to donate.
For me, this is more than just a Christmas raffle. It’s the chance to change the statistics and a chance to give something back and help support a charity working towards a future where fewer families have to experience the fear and heartbreak that heart disease can bring.
