A Change Mat that doesn't fall apart?

Hi

Does anyone know a make of change-mat that doesn't crack, exposing the foam inside? I think i've been through 4 now. I would rather pay more for something longer-lasting - better for the planet too!

And, yes, I know I shouldn't kneel on them when I'm changing DD on the floor, but I have the grace of a hippo, so its unavoidable.

Anyone heard of such a magical mat?

I can recommend the BEST change mats ever. I think they're wonderful!

They fold up really small. You can get large versions which work as mattress protectors or mats for drying a dripping child over, and recently as good places to stand my toddler on when he refuses to lie down for a change, just in case he decides to sit down part way through poo clean up.

They go in the washing machine at up to 95deg, great for diarrhoea and other potentially infectious messes. And they're soft and nice to touch. When we grow out of change mats, I intend to use them as sitters on the grass too.

I've got 2 change mat size and I got a single bed size and cut it in two to make bath drying areas. I intend to get a very large one for waters breaking time (as the mattress protector last time was noisy and made us sweat horribly and it'll be August this time) and then cut it up for use on the single beds when we get around to night potty training.

But I only know of one place to get them, and they're not cheap.
Nappy Lady Change Mats (No, I have no affiliation to this shop, just really really like these mats)

PS but they aren't padded, so no foam to get to, and they don't have a plastic wipe clean outer.

Thank you! I have placed an order and am eagerly awaiting my new mat!

hi

I've seen this Baby changing bag on My1stwish.co.uk but not sure if the price is too steep? It seems to have everything you need in it?

The Ikea one with the inflatable sides. Bought for dd and still going strong for ds. Dd is nearly six.
