How to stay organised on trips out with two young kids?

just went to visit in laws this Christmas with my 2.5yo (potty training) and 4 month old and wondered if there was a well organised changing bag anyone can recommend that’s good for day to day but also travelling?

Currently using one nappy bag to cover both kids so two changes of clothes, 2 sets of nappy sizes, 2 different sets of toys, snacks for the 2.5yo, wipes, nappy cream and changing mat — the bag ends up being so packed and hard to find anything in the main compartment that by the end of the trip I found myself hating it. How’s everyone else solving for this when they have two small kids?

Mine are 20 months apart. I had 2 smaller bags (actually nappy pods I bought from The Nappy Lady website), 1 per child. They both went into my bigger bag which was like a tote style with long over shoulder strap so a large opening and the pods could fit side by side. In that bag's many pockets would be the non-nappy/clothes bits, ie toys, snacks, Calpol.
It was very handy to be able to grab one pod for a change instead of taking the whole bag, or even if I was out alone and therefore had to take it all into the loo with us, I could instantly find the right child's changing things.
It did mean 1 set of wipes for each pod but worth it for the self-contained ease of individual pods. Nappy cream I think I just had in main bag and took it only if having a bad few days.
Now eldest is long since potty trained his spare clothes go in youngest's pod, and I now use the more common rucksack style changing bag.

As pp said, pods! We had pacapod with nappies, wipes etc and it also had a small folding changemat. Another pod for food/snacks. I'm big fan of things in zip pouches - I have one for my handbag bits like paracetamol, glasses cleaner, lip balm so I can just transfer between bags in one go!

If your just travelling in the car, maybe have a crate type box with it all in? Or maybe get something like this?

From 3ish, I put my older chikd’s stuff in a small rucsac that he carried.
