Wet belt

i have a 108 pure tech engine, I know it’s a wet belt and I know they have shorter intervals to be replaced, does anyone know if just by looking at this it needs replacing soon or can I wait a couple more months? I’ve had new oil recently and I have no issues whatsoever with the car but I am aware they will just snap but if there’s nothing screaming get it replaced now I could do with waiting a couple of months to gather the money for it😅

my Ford fiesta ended up written off at 7 years old due to a failed wet belt. Ford told us if we had kept the full service history and had it regularly serviced by them they would have replaced it but we hadn’t so had to get a new car.

It’s a shame, I haven’t had any issues I just want to know what I’m lookin for on the belt so I know if I have an extra 2 months to save or if it really needs doing and I have to borrow money😅 might speak to Peugot and see if they’d do anything but I didn’t buy the car through them I got it through another dealership near me

The oil changes seem to be the defining factor in these wet belts. Have you owned the car from new, and have you kept up with (or even increased) how often the oil and filter are changed?

All that said, I personally would sell a car with a wet belt...

No I bought it with I can’t remember how many owners, but it’s booked in for 1st April for a wet belt change:)
