Apple carplay

Hi

I’ve just been quoted around £600 to supply and fit Wireless Apple CarPlay intergrated into the original screen of my Peugeot.

I see various Apple CarPlay screens to attach to my car dashboard for £50-£100 on Amazon. I appreciate the finish won’t be as neat, but can anyone tell me if these are as simple to install and operate as they claim?

Sounds like they intend to replace the head end unit, which at £600 still sounds a bit expensive.

I would expect it be nearer £300-£400 so I would look for a comparative quote from a car audio specialist.

I have no experience with the basic screen only options.

@Dbank thank you. I was expecting/hoping nearer to £300. But they were a car audio specialist. I’ll shop around a bit more

from my DH -who fitted one of these to DSD car £210 for unit fitted into existing space in dashboard .This was a Fiat 500-happy to share further info but will get him to answer as I have no clue how it works .

I just came to post asking about installing Apple CarPlay and saw your thread. I hope you don’t mind me jumping on here and asking what you decided to do?

We have an older Peugeot with no screen for DD and would like to have Apple car play installed-have no idea where to go and how much it would be! £600 seems steep though, especially if it already had a screen.
