Hi guys!

I need a second car for just me and my toddler.

Needs to be automatic and electric I’ve seen the Renault 5 and really like this but is a big enough for an almost 3 year old we will literally be doing local journeys nursery supermarket etc

Does anyone have one?

It’s a 5 door, 5 seater, why wouldn’t it be big enough? My neighbour has one and it’s a great looking car.

I just thought it might be a tight squeeze and too small for a buggy in the boot so thought I’d see if anyone else had one to compare. It is a very nice looking car

I've read the reviews of the R5 in great detail, along with those of the R4 which uses the same platform but has a different body style.

The general consensus appears to be that the R5 is a stunningly fantastic car and a real game changer in small EVs, but that the only compromise is on rear space. The advice is that if you find it too cramped, look at the 4 instead.

I am seriously looking at both of them for the unhappy time when we'll need to replace my wife's car, although I'll look at the Dacia Spring too.

The Zoe which it replaces was so much bigger inside than on the outside. A superbly well designed electric car. I'd hope they've done similar with the 5.

Thanks guys I think there’s a Dacia garage nearby too so I’ll look at spring also and the 4 I started watching videos and I’m getting a more ‘fun’ vibe for the 5 and I’m a very nervous driver so I just need something easy to drive and manoeuvre to save me getting the train and buses everywhere 😂

I love my Nissan Leaf, super easy and fun to drive, don’t think I’d go back to an ICE. When my kids were little I had a Aygo, super tiny but big enough for 2 car seats and could fit a buggy in the boot.

Thanks that makes me feel more confident I’m going at the weekend to have a look and sit in some so hopefully I can choose from there
