Has anyone had this? Was it worth it if so?

I've been offered this as part of buying my car, I've tried researching online but I'm getting directed to a lot of car enthusiast type threads where they seem to enjoy detailing their cars anyway. I want my car to look nice but I absolutely loathe having to put time and effort into it as a busy mum who already has too much on her plate

Absolutely not, it will be poorly prepped (if at all) and poorly applied. Salesmen make a great commission on this rubbish. Take it to a proper detailing company and have a quality ceramic coating applied.
