Just wondering if there are any XC40 or E-Pace owners on here that could give any comments on the car?

We're looking at a new car, family of 4 - 1 teen 1 toddler and totally torn between these two! I have also looked at the X1 and X2 (love the X2 but it's no bigger than my Puma).

i’m not really any help but interested in what others are saying! Also interested in the XC40 as it’s time for me to change. Currently drive an X2 which I LOVE but it’s cramped enough. We have a 4 year old and a new baby arriving literally any day and fitted the carry car seat to the car yesterday behind the passenger seat and there is literally no room now lol

I've got an XC40. I do love it, but it's like an inverse tardis. It feels massive to park (I have 360 camera, which is useful as the visibility is poor), but it doesn't seem any bigger on the inside than my old Golf.

I'm not sure if this is true of every model, but the suspension is pretty hard, you feel every bump and tiny pothole.

I have an XC40 (previously had an XC60 for 9 years). I love it but the screen in the car is not very user friendly. Also, don’t believe the petrol consumption performance. It’s nothing like what they advertise.

What version are you looking at? I've got the twin engine EV and the acceleration is lovely. I'm not a particularly fast driver, but when someone pulls a particularly twatty move, it's great to be able to floor it as they can't keep up. You pay for the acceleration in having a poor range, but that's only been an issue a few times.

Thanks for the comments! @BastilleBastille I absolutely love the X2 😍😭 but like you it's just not big enough.

@Mayflyoff I haven't tested drove one yet but I'll definitely try reversing after your feedback.

@rosiebl I don't love the plasticky looking screen in the volvo - the jag looks so much more luxurious

@Mayflyoff we're looking at a petrol or petrol hybrid.

Ive test driven a XC40 EV and whilst i loved the car for the most part (and it was very fast) I just couldnt get onboard with that piano black plastic trim... Just makes the car look 15 years old from the offset.

I LOVED the EX30 but its just too small so im very close to ordering the new Tesla Model Y... but the Musk factor plus the disapproval from 90% of the population is holding me back :D

@BitterIwasntfurloughed I've been to see a couple now, I really want to love it but for some reason I just don't. I think it's the plastic wheel arches and the infotainment
