Looking at this. Anybody got one? How is the boot size? And general vibe.
Will be lease with repairs covered so not fussed about that

Had one for two years. Loved it, nice to drive big boot.

I’ve driven a rental one and it was great for an SUV - i live in the city so wouldn’t have one but many do. It’s a similar size to the Nissan Qashkai and has a good sized boot. The seats folded as a 2 and 1 so that seemed like it should be useful.

I have one and it’s fine - decent boot that you can extend by folding down the seats, v reliable, ample space. I don’t love it, but can’t really say why.

I love mine! It's a good size for us
I researched boot sizes and for the size of car it's got good capacity.

User27563 · 25/05/2025 21:05

My seats all fold down individually.

We are also looking at a Tiguan but that would have to be a hybrid as that’s all that’s affordable on the lease scheme. I’m tempted but also sticking with a conventional car for a few more years is appealing

My impression was that with VW vs Skoda a lot of the insides is the same but you get more for your money with a Skoda. I seem to remember boot space vs length was also better.

I love my Karoq. It's base level 1.0 turbo but it's nippy in traffic and does well on the motorway, and it's well equipped The boot is huge and I recently moved my DD and a lot of her belongings in it. The back seat is very comfortable for 3 adults.
A colleague had a Tiguan and commented that the two dashboard layouts are very similar. The Karoq has lots of "extras" as standard which the Tiguan doesn't and it has the Skoda umbrella in its own compartment under the passenger seat.

I agree with this, I feel very ‘meh’ about mine. I constantly have issues with Apple carplay not connecting/disconnecting (I would say 50% of the time it doesn't work) and as someone who has a long commute & relies on audiobooks & Waze to get me through, it drives me mad.

I find the boot not a great when I have the pram etc, but then I probably have a lot of residual crap living in there (waterproofs & wellies for eg) I used to have a Mini Countryman & found the boot a better shape & with more space personally.

I find theres not enough power on the motorway although it is very economical on fuel.

Its ‘fine’ but I wouldnt get another.

It’s a good reliable car with decent spec, but not much else i can say about it (work in the motor industry) as it is a very dull car. Would probably pick it over a Tiguan based on value for money. As someone who owns one above said it’s very ‘meh’.
