Honda Stepwgn - buy or avoid?

Has anyone got a Honda Stepwgn? I'm looking for a new car and it looks great (for me, husband, 3 lumping teens and a dog plus camping gear). But are imports insanely expensive to get MOTs, services and repairs? Any experience would be very much appreciated. TIA

A friend has recently sold an 11 plate supermini Toyota import; the insurance was three times what they are paying for the 74 plate Nissan Juke they replaced it with. Parts aren't always easily available which pushes up the insurance.
