Car issue - help please!

Took my car for MOT and full service only 2 weeks ago & they replaced all
tyres, no other issues. However, the last couple of times I’ve driven it, it has felt harder to drive especially when driving it at high speed (70 mph) & intermittently feels like it’s vibrating. Should I be worried? Is this likely to be something silly that anyone can think of that I should be able to fix or am I best to get checked out at a garage.

Check all the wheel nuts in the first instance - one of the wheels might be loose.

Did they balance them and do the tracking?

Ok so I’ve just checked tyre pressure & it is higher than it should be. Would that possibly be the issue? Front tyres are 36 when they should be 33 and rear tyres are 37 when they should be 30

@Luckypoppy yes they did that

@OkayLetMeKnowHowItGoes the nuts all look fine

Tyre pressures won’t be causing this and those aren’t big increases anyway. Might just be new tyres? Were they a different brand/price band than what you were used to? I noticed my car felt a little sluggish to drive initially when I got winter tyres put on.

With something like this it’s always worth getting checked out. The vibration could be due to something minor or it might be more serious but unless you’re imagining it then something’s not right. Any noises accompanying the vibration?

Sounds like the balancing wasn’t done correctly. Last set of tyres I had fitted I had this happen, from 50mph upwards there was a pretty bad vibration through the entire car.

Took back to tyre place and they rebalanced for free, the guy apologised and said the machine must have been having a wobble that morning!
