Wondering if anyone could give some advice regarding change of circumstances for DLA for child.
for context my child spent 6 months plus in hospital on parental nutrition. Which we then where able to apply for DLA and where awarded the higher rate. Child has short bowel syndrome, however has been discharged from hospital and no longer needs parental nutrition.
they still require 24/7 care with frequent night feeds via NG tube and chronic dioreha. Which leads to awful nappy rash and break down of skin meaning it can be changed up to 20 times a day. Also has weekly appointments to have bloods etc checked and Medication doses are reviewed a couple times a week .medication needs to be given every 8 hours day / night. Weight gain is monitored every week also.
my original application was awarded until child turns 3 - does the DLA need to be notified of this change of circumstance or because their care needs are still relatively the same do j need to tell them?
it doesn’t help the hospital team completed my application and I’m not sure entirely what they have wrote on the original.
