Postnatal maternity care at home

Hello!

I'm expecting with our second & have a toddler and teenager at home. My husband and I run a catering business so have none whatsoever (him) to only two weeks (me) off before contracts need to be honoured. I'm looking for house-related help. My sisters (in Belgium & The Netherlands) both have a lady who comes in to help out with cleaning, cooking, laundry and new born baby stuff. I've been looking everywhere but apart from £450/24h nannies who seem to only do baby-related stuff I cannot find someone/an agency/organisation that provides this type of care in the UK. I'm not asking for the free version like in Europe, just someone that can help out so I can either spend time with the baby or toddler or sleep a little whilst everyone is safe. Thank you!

Google private maternity nurse. It's not really I thing in the uk but seems there are a few around.

Thank you - they are the £450 nannies... and don't actually do much else but spend time with the baby which is really what I ought to be doing instead of housework but thank you!

Some post natal doulas do this sort of thing I believe.

You need a housekeeper that will do baby sitting rather than a nanny who will do housework.

What I wouldn’t of done for a lovely kraamzorg when I had twins. I’d look for a mothers help someone who is essentially an extra pair of hands who will do everything from childcare to laundry.
