I’m not sure where to ask this but hope carers is a good place.
My wife spent about three months in hospital in 2024 and came home on 24 December 2024 (the best Christmas present ever).
The hospital provided her with a sara stedy, a Zimmer, a commode and a hospital bed. They also arranged for two carers to come four times a day.As she has gradually recovered the care is now one carer twice a day.
We would like to go back to sharing a bed and I am trying to find if there is a double bed with two mattresses and electric motors that will raise the head or feet on each side separately. My wife usually sleeps with her head raised a little and sometimes, if her feet are swollen, her feel raised.
Sharing one bed would give us space in our bedroom and I’d be closer to her if she needs help.

I have no idea if such a bad exists (or if we can afford one)

I did a lot of Googling and yesterday paid the deposit on an Adjustamatic twin bed. It seems as it is is like two beds side by side with one headboard. Each side has a separate remote control. I was staggered by the cost, £7500 but as the old saying goes "you can't take it with you"
