Hi, first post so pls be kind. After the very sudden loss of my dad, I’m considering giving up work to care for my disabled mum.
Have tried doing both but feel like I’m burning myself out.
Ive been told I can receive a low rate of Universal Credit & a little help towards my rent.
what I don’t understand is the Carer Element and Carer Allowance.
I understand I can apply for both or one but don’t know which is going to be more beneficial.
I’m hoping in future to get a little part time job that I can fit the caring around but for now caring full time would be my only “job”
Does anyone have any experience of this please that can advise x
