Caring for elderly relatives? Supercarers can help

Where do I stand

Today I called at a clients house( I am a companion for the socially isolated and elderly) When I spoke to the client, she said she didn’t feel very well and she didn’t want to do anything. We usually go out on a trip .
She said she cancelled her hairdresser that day as well and she was surprised that the family hadn’t called me to let me know.
Can I claim any time/ pay for this visit?
i’m not really sure where I stand, but I feel that if they didn’t want me to come along today then I should’ve been notified in advance.

It should all be stated in your contract? DFIL has Carers and unless he gives 2 weeks notice that they aren't wanted them he still has to pay.

It should be in your contract.
it I would expect to get paid. No cancellation of visit has been done.
