carers allowance application time

Hi all,
I applied for carers allowance nearly 10 weeks ago and have not heard and have been told to just wait. is that normal does anyone else have any experience? thanks

Also waiting to hear, has only be 4 weeks for me but not holding out much hope of it being any time soon 🤦🏻‍♀️
