Carers element and UC

Hi.
My DD was awarded DLA for Autism, middle rate and I get carers element on UC.

We started the claim back in March when I rang for the forms, we had the letter in September stating she was eligible for DLA and we had back pay from March.

UC have put me down as her career this month (October) and are giving me back pay from September when I started the carers element.

They are now saying we might be eligible for back pay? Would this be from March? And what's the likely hood of getting it?

Yes, you should be eligible for the carer's element from the date of the award, not the date you were told the claim was successful. There will be a delay because it has to go to a decision maker, so that they can calculate the outstanding amount, but it's quite straightforward.
