So today I've received a message in my journal from UC. It says due to me claiming carers allowance I should be eligible for carers element on UC. I phoned them up and the staff helped me write a note for a payment entry in my journal. This goes along the lines of I've been in receipt of CA since 16th of Feb 22 and if it could be backdated.
My questions are;
Will this be backdated?
If so how long does it usually take for them to calculate and then to pay it?
January is a very hard month and we are due to move so as you can imagine this couldn't of come at a better time.
