Disabled rail card

Hi
I’m in receipt of higher rate DLA for the personal care element for my child under 16
can I apply for a disabled rail card? And could I use it on my own to travel into work?

It is intended for the person who is disabled to use, I do believe.

Sorry yes I meant to write I would travel with my child as they love travelling on trains so would be a lovely thing to do on the weekends. You just wanted to know if I could use it on my own during the days I work or would I need to be with person applying ( although I would apply on their behalf as under 16)

No, you can't. Same as with Blue Badge you can only use it when the disabled person is with you.
