I stopped my claim for carers allowance on the 16th January as i had changed my job and my income was too high to claim carers. They took two months to cancel my claim so I still received carers for two more months I had a letter to say that they had now stopped my claim on the 16th January and I will repay the money they paid me. What happens with my universal credit as carers is deducted £ for £ so I didn't qualify for universal credit the past two months because they took my carers allowance into consideration which I now have to pay back. Sorry if this is confusing.
