I have struggled for years after having my kids to find fun and fulfilling job opportunities through agencies. I think there needs to be a shake-up to recruiting parents into part-time and temp roles where you know you are going to be respected and feel pride in your work.
I have turned up to waiting shifts at weddings and events or as a housekeeper, not knowing what to wear or where to go, not even the name of the team leader. On top of the stress of running a household, I always feel anxious. So many first days, doing this type of work. Is anyone else having these problems?
I wish there was an agency that I could trust and feel supported by. I love my kids and I feel, the hard work I do with them is underappreciated as a skill set for 'professional' work.
