Footbath / Spa for elderly

Hi,

I have realised my elderly mother is struggling to wash her feet in the shower. Not suprising really, but she tends to keep things from me. The shower is too small to include a shower chair comfortably.

I wonder if anybody has experience of using mobile foot spas, which my mother could use whilst sat in a normal chair ? I realise they are not much different to using a bowl, but she may be more inclined to using something designed for the job.

I would be grateful for any advice in general on how other people have tackled this problem. Thank you

Is someone going to fill and carry it/empty it for her?
I’m thinking it would be unlikely to be something she would do alone but, with someone doing the faff of getting the towel, getting the foot spa out, filling it and emptying it after, then it might be worth while but you may as well try it with a bowl first (dressed up as a pamper & pedicure session maybe?).

Yes I see what you mean and there is a lot of sense in what you say !

Assistance can be provided - plus encouragement. I was just wondering how other people have tackled this same problem successfully.
