Carers allowance overpayment

I have called twice to cancel my carers allowance as I started a new job but they keep paying me. Anyone know where I stand? ?

If you've not spent it I would try and cancel the payment with your bank so that they can no longer deposit the money in your account and what they have paid you keep to one side until you can speak with someone to return it and cancel it all together.

Don’t spend it as they may ask for it back, it can take several weeks to be cancelled.
