Disabled parking bay

My mum has one and people on her street are parking in her bay (not blue badge holders). She can't walk further than the kerb, so can't go out when this happens.
What can I do about this ? It's serious when she has a medical appointment

Not much I'm afraid. There is no law against them parking in it, you just hope others are considerate to others needs. Perhaps pop a note on the windscreen sharing the impact of their actions.

I think in a residential area - on the street, it's an advisory space so not enforceable. It is here anyway.

Phone your council and just double check for your area, but I would still put a note on anyway.

Cheeky fuckers! It clearly states disabled and if they aren't showing a blue badge then they are taking the piss using it. Whether they can get fined or not is not the point.

Disabled - use it.

Not disabled - don't.

I have stickers that say 'stop parking like a cunt' for this very reason.I stick it right where the driver needs to see.

Apparently the previous owner of our house bought some very sticky tape abs taped notices to the car windows asking them politely not to park there.
