DD be upgrading to her first forward-facing seat in a few months and would like to get one that can be secured with a lap belt only. We had one of those in the past but I can't remember what it was - any ideas?

hi, there is a ff britax one think it's the prince although not 100% sure, i have a britax two way elite that can be lap only belt and a KISS car seat which is isofix and seat belt, haven't used it with the lap belt though so not sure how secure it would be iykwim and i have an old priori sps which can be lap only although now apparently they are 3 point only?!

Any top tips for good seats that will fit between two 5-year-olds in boosters will be much appreciated - thanks.

We had a Maxi Cosi Priori that could be used with a lap belt, and it fitted between two boosters, but that was a few years back. I don't know about more recent models, but I'm sure you'll find one.

depends on the car i would imagine. i have the two way elite rf in the middle, a KISS on the rear driver and a priori on the rear passenger in a golf! what boosters do you have? i have a rodi sps too which is apparently the most narrow and think i could use these at either side and still have twe in the middle?

We had a Britax one - renaissance, I think. It sat securely enough on the lap belt. We had boosters either side, although there wasn't much room to do the belts up, so the children couldn't manage that for themselves, and it was a bit fiddly. No big deal, and probably unavoidable. Our car's a Zafira, so I took to putting one booster in the back and a child either side in the middle row of seats on journeys where we didn't need all the boot.

Britax - Prince or Eclipse

(Maxi Cosi no longe r recommend fitting the Priori with lap only)

oh i forgot about the clipping seatbelts in as all mine are fixed in at the minute! due to the position of the twe there is loads of space to clip the seatbelts in, as it's sitting further back than the seatbelt stalks.

Thanks all - we currently have two Maxi Cosi Rodi XR boosters so hopefully we can get a Britax that fits in between.

hiya,
i have 2 britax hi-liner hi backed boosters and a britax eclipse in the middle for my lo.

the eclipse is pretty narrow,we use ours lots and have never had any problems at all with it.im very happy with this choice and would def recommend it.

i have a 3 point belt in the middle of my car so dont know how easy it is to fit with a lapbelt.

i nearly bought the prince, until i watched the you tube video which showed that you need to recline the seat before you fit it,it doesnt actually recline whilst its fitted, whereas the eclipse does, and there was only a £10 difference between the seats.

The new graco carseat goes in with a lap belt. And the prince (britax) Might be best to get a seat that fits in the middle and then sort out boosters as there isn't much choice the other ones you could try are the kiddy because how it fits in, means it would go in with a lap belt but it would be more tricky.
Fiends of mine have just got a kit that bolts to the boot that turns it into a harness like the britax seat in oz. They have bought three nina boosters with backs. They are very narror
