Does anyone know/have this car seat here? We need something to take to the US on holiday, and can't quite figure how we carry our recaro sport one around with us so am thinking of getting this, but not sure its safe or lega.

We went last year with ds 5 and his cousin 7 and were told we did not need them - had we not had adjustable seat belts (was v impressed) we said we wouldv'e purchased one their. They are vastly cheaper we could've purchased our one we have back here that cost £90 for $40.00, its not to wasteful as like with strollers you can get the hotels to pass them to staff/charity thrift stores.
Hope that is of help too.

thank you. what are adjustable seat belts? its a good idea to buy them there. Also, do you need them for taxis? if so isnt i a bit cumbersome, carrying them round all day?

i dont use one in taxis/buses here - never have. if you are getting a hire care thenyou could get one for peace of mind. the rental we had in the states had a hook thing to adjust the seat belt depending on height - like boosters seats do built in. on the odd occasionds and i treat ourselves to a taxi I have to hook the diagonal of the seat belt under his arm if it threatens to garrote him, although as he has got taller this is less of a problem. i'm sure others will have good advice too. . i think you can get infaltable boosters now too am sure I've seen one somewhere.
