Maxi Cosi Cabriofix in an old Audi A4

My DH has an R reg (1998) Audi A4 and we already have a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix which normally goes in my car with Isofix. We are wondering whether we can fit it in his car occasionally using the seatbelt but it is too old for the Maxi Cosi website fitfinder to give us an answer. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks!

I cant see why not. Don't have an A4 so can't you give you an exact answer but never found a car it wouldn't go in. I know 3 door cars can be tricky but apart from that it should be ok.

Thanks for your reply. It seems to go in ok when we tried it although a bit more wobbly without the isofix, but we might take it to Mothercare to ask them to check.

My friend has a 99/2000 Audi A4 estate and her mc cabriofix fits fine using just the seatbelt. It was fitted by halfords.

I have a 56 reg A4 and our cabriofix fitted fine with the seatbelt.

Thanks - looks hopeful then!

Why don't you use the seatbelt fitting on your isofix base?

Instructions here. Keep going until it gets to the seatbelt fitting instructions.

Aargh! Link not working. Try this

Thanks all. In case anyone else has the same query, we went to Mothercare and they were happy with the fit (without the base).
