Placement of seats. Which side for 0+?

Our new car is coming today and we've got a stage 1 (RF) seat and a 0+ seat for DC. Am I right in thinking that the 0+ should be behind the passenger seat?
In our old car there was only room to fit the stage 1 seat behind the passenger seat so we had no choice about the placement.

I would put the toddler behind the passenger seat as then they're on the pavement side when climbing in and out, and it's you who has to stand in the road with the baby.

Thanks! Surely that's dependent on how the car is parked though?
I thought I'd read one side was statistically safer than the other. Not sure now though.

ah, we have an isofix base thing for the 0+ that defies climbing over
most of the time you park on the left side of the road (or you should be at least!)
Behind the passenger seat is safest in an accident but if you have two kids in the back that's a bit by the by

We'll be putting the baby behind the passenger seat and dd behind the driver - dd can climb in and out of her seat herself and isn't far off being able to do her own seatbelt. We have a mirror that can go above the baby seat so that the driver can see the baby's face in the rear view mirror(somewhere, must dig it out). DD is 5 though, so not a toddler and perfectly capable of clambering past the baby's seat.

You're right MrsBadger we should/do usually park on the side we're driving on, 'tis the right here but that's not really relevant! I've only just passes my test and hadn't really realised even though I do it
I think I'll put DD behind the drivers seat, that does seem the most logical. It'll be a real treat to have 4 doors!
Thanks all.
