Carseat for tall 3.5 year old??

Plea for help!

My 3.5 year old boy is tall (104cm) and weighs 19kg. He's definitely outgrowing his current car seat!

I have looked at Axkid, Avionauts and Britaxs but somewhat flummoxed by how Which? has several as Don't Buys and mediocre scores for the rest.

Happy to keep rear facing; but which seat would you recommend for his height/weight and age??

Thanks!

Axkid Movekid. Which know pretty much nothing about car seats, and mark them down because they’re fitted with tethers.

Definitely Axkid Movekid. Tallest shell on the market so great for tall kids and 36kg weight limit. Ignore Which, they mark down for seats that aren’t isofix and mark up for pretty patterned fabrics. Movekid is Swedish Plus Tested - you can’t do better than that.

Ignore the which score. All of those seats are good as they are Plus tested. What I would probably do is find your nearest Axkid or Avionaut stockist and see if you can look at seats in person. If you can find a brick and mortar stockist it is also helpful because they will help with installation. One of the reasons Which tend to mark down ERF seats is because they all use lower tethers which most people in the UK aren't familiar with.

Axkid Minikid 4 has worked well for our 4 year old :)

Do you know of any good stockists in South London? Thanks!

https://www.rearfacingcarseats.co.uk/ is in Croydon, and she covers a wider area - if you look on the "Home visit" section under Services it has info there. I believe she stocks all the seats you are looking at.

It looks like there is also Baby and Child Store in Bromley but I don't know much about them.
