Hello, I gave birth to my micro-prem baby at 26+5 weighing 955g She is now 8 weeks old and weighing 1960g! I’m looking at getting a new travel system and within that travel system comes the CabrioFix S i-Size baby car seat.

I’m just wondering if it’s any good for her? She’s not due till the 17th of December but unsure if she’ll be home by her due date anyway. She’s also likely to come home on oxygen. I have two older full term children so this is all new to me.

The Avionaut pixel pro gives very good support for small babies. Not sure if it comes in a travel system bundle but you can always get the pram and car seat separately.

The Cabriofix S is a good seat, but I agree the Avionaut seats are even nicer for small babies. Either the Pixel or the Cosmo. They go onto the same pushchair adapters as Maxi Cosi.

This is a screenshot I took from Avionaut's instagram, the baby is 2.5kg and the seat is Pixel 2.0. The straps going so far under the legs look strange, but that is how they are supposed to go in this seat, the position of the baby is the important part to look at - their head and spine are aligned and straight which means they can breathe safely, and the straps are snug to their shoulders. The block under their bum lifts them up so they have a safe position in the seat.
