Car seat blanket for newborn. Morrck is gone!

Hi everyone, I’m searching for a car seat blanket for our newborn. I need it primarily for doing the school run with the older children - something to wrap around baby so she can continue to nap instead of being disturbed to put on a coat for a 10 minute drop-off.

With our first two, I used a Morrck blanket as at the time it was the only one that had been fully tested and was recommended as a safe option. Although there are loads of options on the market now, I only want to buy one that is fully safe and crash-tested, etc.

Any recommendations instead of a Morrck?

Could you tuck a blanket over her and put the car seat onto a buggy if it's only 10 minutes? Then it doesn't need to be crash tested because it's not going in between the baby and the straps.

I don't know if there are any which make the crash tested claim any more, probably because inserts have got much more complicated since the Morckk was popular.

Possibly the Tuppence and Crumble wraps are still sold - those were meant to be crash safe.

Yes I will be using the car seat with adaptors to clip it onto the buggy for the brief walk to the school gate.

That’s why I had thought a car seat blanket to wrap around her - so wearing her babygrow/cardigan underneath, hat, then car seat blanket wrapped over, with an extra blanket on top for chilly mornings.

I have been googling today and there are Little Love blankets and Kura Organics - anyone any experience of these?

Hey OP, we used a Walla Boo footmuff for the car seat and it was excellent. I bought it second hand off EBay and sold it for what I paid.

it was perfect at keeping baby warm on the school run and easy to unzip etc
