3 door car Joie I spin 360 or cheaper Graco?

Hi
Looking to buy a car seat for our second car. Baby is (large) 15 month old and will only be in this seat for short journeys (around town max 2 miles) a couple of times a week. He is still in infant carrier (cybex) in our main family car. The 2nd car is a 3 door Hyundai. Costco have some great deals on 2 seats and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of either seat in a 3 door car? Seats are Joie I spin 360 (£135) or Graco Flexi grow R129 (£59.99). Current infant carrier is a spin which I find SO easy. So thinking the Joie (which can rear face too) and I like the convenience of the isofix, but the Graco is so much cheaper and thinking it will be good for taking on holiday as it will be much lighter than the Joie. But how difficult is it to get a wriggling baby into a non spin car seat in a 3 door car?? Anyone used either in a 3 door car? TIA

The Graco Flexigrow is only forward facing, so I'd definitely go for the Joie out of those two.

Will Costco let you try the seat in your car before you buy it? I think those places usually don't. Would it be able to be used in the main car if it doesn't work in the Hyundai? I am concerned about accessibility of the spin button (with the Joie i-Spin, it's on the side) and the amount the seat sticks out at the back potentially bumping into the side wall of the car.

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, it could go in the main car if it doesn't work in the Hyundai 3 door. Would you say it's a good enough seat as his main seat once he's out of the infant carrier?

I'm trying to envisage getting him into a non spin seat in a 3 door car, thinking it will be really tricky at this age!

Yes the Joie i-Spin is a good seat. It's normally closer to £300 so the Costco deal is very good. I don't think they are quite as nice fabrics and harness as the Cybex/Britax/Maxi Cosi but in terms of safety they are just as good.

I think for a rear facing seat in a three door if it's not a spin, you sort of have to climb into the back holding them on your lap, and then you're sitting on the back bench and can get them in OK. But I have seen people say they do use 360 seats in a 3 door car so some configurations must work.
